County Registrar of Voters Director to Speak on Election Procedures

Livermore Indivisible will host speaker Tim Dupuis, Alameda County Registrar of Voters Director, at the Livermore Civic Center Library Community Room on Thursday, May 16, from 6:30-8:30 PM. With the primaries and 2020 election nearing, Dupuis will address any confusion community members may have about the election process.

He will talk about when mail-in ballots are counted and noted by the registrar as being received; whether a ballot noted as received indicates a signature has been verified; when election day votes are counted and signatures verified; the process of counting provisional ballots; why ballots may be counted two weeks after an election; changes in voting planned for 2020 and how they impact the vote counting process; and whether Alameda County may adopt the Voter’s Choice Act.
